Such smudges can appear not only due to lack of cleaning, but also due to hard water with chlorine and impurities.
It is useless to try to clean the yellowness from the toilet bowl with citric acid, soda and other means. They can clean plaque, but not rust.
Vinegar
Mix a spoonful of baking soda in a glass of vinegar and apply the solution to the dirty areas.
Pour the sides of the toilet generously and leave overnight.
You can add a drop of iodine to vinegar, but then the solution needs to be slightly warmed up.

Peroxide and ammonia
