Cleaning TV screens from handprints requires a delicate touch to avoid damaging the screen.

While it seems that it's easy to clean it, you can always do it wrong and damage it.

Here's a step-by-step guide on how to effectively clean your TV screen.

Turn Off the TV

Before you start cleaning, make sure the TV is turned off and unplugged.

This prevents any accidental damage and ensures your safety.

Dampen the Cloth

If you're using a screen cleaning solution, follow the manufacturer's instructions for dilution.

Alternatively, you can dampen a corner of the microfiber cloth with distilled water. The cloth should be slightly damp, not wet.

Wipe Gently

Gently wipe the screen in a circular motion, starting from the top and working your way down.

Apply very light pressure to avoid damaging the screen. Do not spray any liquid directly onto the screen.

Focus on Handprints

Pay special attention to areas with handprints or smudges.

Use a gentle touch and slightly more pressure to lift off the prints, but be careful not to press too hard.

Dry with Dry Cloth

After you've cleaned the handprints, use a dry part of the microfiber cloth to gently dry the screen and remove any remaining moisture.

Avoid Harsh Chemicals

Avoid using alcohol-based cleaners, ammonia, or other harsh chemicals as they can damage the screen's protective coating.

Preventive Measures

Encourage family members or guests to avoid touching the TV screen.

Placing the TV out of reach from children and using a TV stand or wall mount can help minimize handprints.
