If you love drinking tea a lot, but don't have a dishwasher, then you might have plaque in your favorite cups.

It's relatively easy to get rid of it when it's new, but it might become harder to avoid chemicals when it's old and stubborn.

Here are a few tips that might help you clean it without using any harsh chemicals.

Create a cleaning paste

Make a paste by mixing baking soda with a small amount of water.

The paste should have a thick, spreadable consistency.

Apply the paste

Dip the soft brush or sponge into the paste and apply it to the areas with plaque buildup on the cup.

Gently scrub the affected areas using circular motions.

Let it sit

After scrubbing, let the baking soda paste sit on the plaque for a few minutes.

This allows the baking soda to work on loosening the plaque.

Scrub again

Use the brush or sponge to scrub the cup again, focusing on the areas with plaque.

The combination of baking soda and gentle scrubbing helps to remove the plaque.

Rinse with vinegar

Rinse the cup with vinegar to further clean and remove any remaining plaque.

Vinegar acts as a natural cleaning agent.

Rinse with warm water

Finally, rinse the cup thoroughly with warm water to remove any residue from the cleaning process.

Dry and inspect

Dry the cup completely with a clean towel.

Inspect the cup to ensure that all the plaque has been removed.

If needed, repeat the process for stubborn plaque.
