If you get your clothes stained with nail polish, don't fret. There are ways to remove such stains.
Preparation
Before cleaning, check the reaction of the fabric on the inside of the seam.
So you make sure that the product does not damage the integrity of the fabric.
Some delicate fabrics do not respond well to cleaning.
To clean clothes from nail polish, wat will need:
- Laundry soap (with oil in the composition);
- Cotton buds;
- Paper napkins;
- Nail polish remover;
- Microfiber cloth.
If the tissue responds well to the nail polish remover, you can proceed with the cleansing.
Cleaning principle
Remove excess polish from fabric
If the stain is fresh, remove excess with a piece of paper or credit card.
Dampen a cotton swab with soap and water and saturate the stain.
If the soap solution does not help, start using a stain remover or nail polish remover:
- Place a microfiber cloth or an old towel on the floor of your clothes.
- Apply stain remover or nail polish remover with a cotton swab.
- Wash the piece of fabric with cool, clean soapy water.
Remember to change cotton swabs and other products as soon as they are painted over in the color of the varnish.
If the nail polish stain is dry, you will most likely need to repeat these steps more than once.
