Radishes are a popular vegetable in spring and summer. It can be pickled, added to salads, used as a decoration for dishes.

Radish storage rules

Store radishes on the bottom shelf of the refrigerator. Thus, root crops are preserved in their original form for 4-5 days;

Pour literally a tablespoon of water into the bottom of a clean glass jar, cover with wet fruits and tightly close with a plastic lid.

Another way:
Greens - tops - need to be cut, retreating a couple of centimeters from the root, the main thing is not to cut the roots.
Lightly dried radishes should be packed in plastic bags.

Radish processed in this way will be remarkably preserved in the refrigerator from a week to 10 days.

How to tell if a radish has gone bad

The young radish is juicy, elastic, has a bright color.

Checking the freshness is very easy: you need to try to compress it. If the radish shrinks, and sometimes even bursts, then this indicates that it is overripe and empty inside.

Such a radish is not recommended: a waste of money, because you will not get pleasure.

Following the recommendation, you will extend the shelf life of the radish and the vegetable will remain at your fingertips for a long time.
