Have you ever noticed your tea being too weak or too strong?

Using the right amount of tea for one cup is essential to achieve the desired flavor and strength.

Here's how to measure and brew the perfect cup of tea.

Use a Tea Infuser or Tea Bag

If using loose leaf tea, use a tea infuser or disposable tea bag.

These allow the tea leaves to expand and infuse properly while making it easier to measure.

Measure the Tea

The general rule of thumb is to use about 1 teaspoon of loose leaf tea per 8-ounce cup of water.

Adjust this measurement based on your personal taste preferences and the type of tea you're using.

For stronger tea, you can use slightly more tea leaves.

Preheat the Cup

Before adding the tea leaves, preheat your cup or mug by rinsing it with hot water.

This helps maintain the optimal brewing temperature.

Remove the Infuser/Tea Bag

Once the tea has steeped for the appropriate time, remove the tea infuser or tea bag to prevent over-steeping, which can result in bitterness.

Enjoy

Your perfectly brewed cup of tea is now ready to enjoy.

You can add sweeteners, milk, or lemon if desired, but tasting the tea without any additions first allows you to experience its true flavor.
