Do you (or someone you know) act out your dreams while sleeping?

If the answer is yes, then your problem might be solved in the nearest future, a new study claims.

Let's find out more!

New research has been conducted

Researchers at Mount Sinai have discovered a new treatment for REM sleep behavior disorder, a specific condition affecting over 3 million Americans.

The new promising research identifies a model for understanding the disorder's development due to brain cell deterioration and tau protein accumulation.

They found that dual orexin receptor antagonists, commonly used for insomnia, can significantly reduce the disorder.

It means that we're closer to finding safe and effective methods to solve this problem.

This offers a promising alternative to current treatments with potential fewer side effects.

The researchers used a mouse model and observed improved sleep quality and reduced dream enactment after administering the medication.

Human trials are now anticipated.

The study was supported by the Alzheimer's Association and Merck Investigator Studies Program.
