Brussels sprouts are fairly easy to grow in the garden.
Seeds should be planted at a depth of 1.5 cm with an interval of 1 cm between them. The distance between rows should be 3-4 cm.
After planting, the soil should be slightly compacted, watered a little and covered with plastic wrap.
The first shoots appear in 3-5 days, after which the film can be removed.
In late August or early September, Brussels sprouts should be pinched. This will help the heads ripen for mass harvesting in October-November.
Brussels sprouts are one of the last to be harvested among cruciferous vegetables.
In the future, the cabbage must be watered regularly.
Brussels sprouts do not need hilling. However, it is recommended to loosen the soil around the plants once a week.
You should also regularly check them for pests and remove weeds in a timely manner.
Water your Brussels sprouts weekly.
