The most common cause of squeaking is a lack of lubrication, which causes increased friction between moving parts.
The second common cause of a grinding noise when opening is the lack of adherence of the hinges to the jamb. In addition, the friction of the clamps can cause sounds.
If creaking occurs due to mutual friction of parts of door hinges, it is enough to lubricate them.
Graphite or WD-40 lubricant, lithol, grease, machine and household lubricant, and, to a lesser extent, fat or vegetable oil are suitable.
A moderate amount of lubricant is needed so that it does not leak out of the hinges onto the canvas and box.
Lead pencil - the lead is crushed into crumbs and poured into the grooves of the hinges, after which the part is returned to its place. The oil and wax in the composition will help get rid of squeaking.
Thick liquid soap, candle wax and vegetable oil - all these simple household products also help solve the problem.
Any liquid and viscous product will do here.
Nevertheless, remember that using sunflower oil can lead to dust and dirt sticking to the hinges, and this will subsequently lead to rapid wear of the mechanism.
And the effect of such treatment will be short-lived.
Don't try to use improvised means. Neither sunflower oil, nor soap, nor Vaseline or cream should be used to lubricate hinges.
It’s better to visit a hardware store and buy a special product.
