If you want your dogs to eat from separate bowls, then it might need training.

By being persistent and patient, you can help ypur dogs remember their bowls and eat only from them.

Here are a few tips on how to achieve that.

Separate Bowls

Begin by having two separate bowls for each dog.

This helps them understand that they have their own designated eating spot.

Consistent Feeding Time

Feed your dogs at the same time every day.

This establishes a routine, and they'll come to expect their meals at specific times.

Designated Eating Area

Choose a specific spot for each dog to eat.

This can be their bed or a designated mat. Consistency is key to help them associate that spot with mealtime.

Monitor Behavior

Keep an eye on your dogs while they eat.

If one tries to approach the other's bowl, calmly redirect them to their designated spot.

Positive Reinforcement

Use positive reinforcement to reward good behavior.

When each dog stays in their designated area and eats from their own bowl, offer praise and perhaps a small treat.

Repeat and Reinforce

Consistency is crucial.

Repeat the process during each mealtime and continue to reinforce the behavior you want.

Avoid Punishment

If there's any unwanted behavior, avoid punishing the dogs.

Instead, redirect them to their designated spots and reward positive behavior.

Patience is Key

Training takes time. Be patient and consistent in your approach.

Over time, your dogs will understand the routine and learn to eat peacefully.

Previously, we talked about jaguarundi.
