Astrantia bloom for a long time, 40-45 days, and grow quickly.

The "Lars" variety has dark pink flowers, quite large, about 5 cm.

It develops and blooms best in loose, fertile, moist soils.

When does Astrantia bloom

Astrantia blooms from late spring to mid-September.

At the end of the flowering season, fruits - seed containers - ripen in place of the buds.

What kind of soil is needed for astancia

Astrantia prefers slightly acidic/neutral soil (pH = 4.8-6.3), always well-drained and fertilized.

A high level of groundwater level can cause root rot, so it is better to provide the plant with sufficient drainage and not plant it in lowlands and other places where water accumulates.

How to water the plant

Astrantia is moisture-loving; it will have to be watered 3-4 times a week; in hot weather it can be done more often.

But do not overdo it to avoid root rot.

After watering, be sure to lightly loosen the soil and prevent the growth of weeds.

At the end of flowering, watering should be reduced to once every 8-10 days.
