Strawberries can be sweet if you follow some growing rules.
What you need to make strawberries large and sweet
Large sweet strawberries need plenty of sun and water to grow. First you need to understand that strawberries, like most berry bushes, love good, fertile, loose, slightly acidic soil, it needs a lot of sun and water, and not only during the ripening period of the berries, but also when the crop is already harvested.
How to process strawberries to be sweet
Potassium sulfate is usually applied in liquid form before planting, young bushes are poured into the furrow with a solution of potassium monophosphate, and during the flowering and ripening of berries, you can walk along the leaf with Folirus liquid leaf fertilizer with the same substance.
What soil is suitable for strawberries
The taste of strawberries is sometimes quite dependent on the quality of the soil, even if the same varieties grow in different areas. In fact, without any jokes - on one ground the strawberries will be sweet as honey, and on the other - with a barely noticeable presence of sweetness.
The soil should be of moderate moisture content with little sand or clay. It is loosened and dug up, the necessary fertilizers are added to it and diligently watered. Soil pH should be close to neutral (i.e. not less than 5.5 and not more than 8).
Also, the soil should have a high content of humus (about 3%).
