The “Vanda” orchid differs from the traditional representatives of the species in that it is a larger flower that does not have the usual throat.
Most often, blue and purple shades are used in bouquets, but red, yellow, pink, white and even brown Vanda orchids are also found.
Petals can be either plain or variegated.
How often does Vanda bloom
In the wild and under ideal conditions at home, Vanda can bloom several times a year.
But usually at home it forms flowers only in the summer, when the plant is well illuminated by the sun and the length of daylight reaches its maximum.
How often should Vanda be watered
Once every 7-14 days, it is advisable (but not necessary) to water the orchid by immersing its root system in a bowl of water for 20-30 minutes.
How to fertilize Vanda
For Vanda orchid, use a regular, balanced fertilizer.
It can be purchased at a flower shop or garden center.
Once a month, add special liquid fertilizer for orchids.
How to hang Wanda
Vanda is usually sold in a black plastic basket; it is better not to remove the plant from it so as not to damage the roots.
The orchid perceives this very painfully.
You can hang the vanda directly from this basket or place it in a pot with holes or another larger basket and strengthen it with the help of available material.
