In the article we will talk about the features of this type of personality.

What is covert narcissism

Covert narcissism is a non-obvious form of the disorder. Vulnerable narcissism occurs in both sexes, but is more common in women.

Unlike the grandiose, hidden narcissism is not always noticeable. The grandiose narcissist is more visible and louder than the hidden one.

There is more guilt and shame in dealing with a vulnerable narcissist. This is due to the fact that such people often play on the emotions of other people, deliberately arouse pity and sympathy for themselves.

Vulnerable narcissism is characterized by low self-esteem, hypersensitivity, and increased shame. That is why it is more difficult for such mothers to separate from their children.

They cause a need for a child, and when an adult daughter or son sets personal boundaries, for example, begins to live separately, he feels guilty.
