The new research connects sleep and quality of life
A recent study published in PLOS ONE on March 15, 2023, highlights the vital link between sleep quality and an individual's overall quality of life.
Analyzing data from over 5,000 Czech adults through the Czech Household Panel Survey conducted between 2018 and 2020, the research found a strong correlation between sleep quality and five aspects of well-being, except work stress, at the individual level.
Better sleep quality was associated with higher overall quality of life when comparing between individuals.
While sleep duration and social jetlag showed specific correlations with certain well-being aspects when comparing respondents, no significant correlations were found over time at the individual level.
