When starting a new relationship, you can experience love bombing - a thing that isn't as harmless as it might seem.

While everyone wants to get affection and attention, it can sometimes be overboard, so it can become a red flag.

Let's find out more about it.

What is it?

Love bombing is a behavior often seen in the early stages of a relationship.

It's when one person overwhelms the other with intense affection, compliments, and attention.

This could involve constant text messages, grand gestures, excessive praise, and even expensive gifts.

It's not as good as it sounds

At first, it might seem like a dream come true. Who wouldn't enjoy being the center of someone's world, right?

However, the key here is that it's not a healthy expression of love.

The love bomber is often not genuinely interested in the well-being or happiness of the other person.

Instead, they are seeking to gain control or manipulate the relationship.

Love bombing can create a sense of dependency and make it difficult for the recipient to see the relationship objectively.

The person being love bombed may feel obligated to reciprocate or may become emotionally entangled without having the chance to develop a real connection.

It's a red flag

In many cases, love bombing is a red flag for potential emotional manipulation or abuse.

It's important for individuals to be aware of these behaviors and maintain a balanced perspective in the early stages of a relationship.

Healthy relationships are built on mutual respect, communication, and genuine care for each other's well-being.
