While sometimes it can be a symptom of ADHD, it can also be just lack of self-discipline and training.

Here are a few tips that can help you improve the situation.

Minimize distraction

Find a quiet and comfortable environment where you can concentrate without interruptions. 

Turn off or mute notifications on your electronic devices to avoid distractions from phone calls, messages, or social media.

Break tasks into smaller steps

Large tasks can feel overwhelming and make it difficult to maintain focus. 

Break them down into smaller, more manageable steps. 

This way, you can focus on completing one step at a time, which feels less daunting.

Prioritize tasks

Identify the most important tasks and prioritize them accordingly. 

Determine which tasks require immediate attention and focus on those first. 

This helps prevent feeling overwhelmed by a long to-do list.

Set specific goals

Clearly define what you want to accomplish. 

Setting specific goals helps you stay focused and provides a clear direction for your efforts.

Use a timer or schedule

Allocate specific time blocks for different tasks.

Practice mindfulness
