Awareness, or mindfulness, is the ability to constantly monitor one’s own thoughts, actions, feelings towards oneself and towards others.
What does it mean to practice mindfulness
Mindfulness is an attitude and a way of thinking, and can be practiced independently of meditation by simply actively observing what we are doing at any given time.
Mindfulness practice can be approached both formally and informally.
The formal approach is to set aside a special time for meditation.
At the same time, do not evaluate them.
Such living and experiencing the present moment (without longing for the past and dreams of the future) is practiced in psychiatry to combat stress and depression.
What does mindfulness meditation do
The practice of mindfulness meditation helps form new habits and lead to structural changes in the brain, affecting areas responsible for regulating attention and emotions.
