Lots of people are pretty confused about their self-esteem that can change from very high to very low pretty quickly.

In fact, it happens way more often than you might think, and it's quite normal for people to feel that way.

Here are a few reasons for it.

Inner Critic

We all have a little voice inside our heads that can be very critical.

It might tell us we're not good enough, even when we actually are. This can make us feel like we have low self-esteem.

High Standards

Some people set very high standards for themselves. They always want to do better and can be hard on themselves.

This might make them feel like they're not meeting their own expectations, leading them to think they have low self-esteem.

Comparing to Others

People often compare themselves to others. If they see someone doing better, they might think they're not as good, even if they're doing well themselves.

This can make them feel like they have low self-esteem.

Overcoming Challenges

Sometimes, when people face challenges or difficulties, they doubt themselves.

They might think they can't handle it, which can make them feel like they have low self-esteem.

But, in reality, they're showing strength by facing those challenges.

Conclusion

When your self-esteem is based on people around you and how they see you, then it might be pretty unstable.

At the end of the day, the only person who should affect your self-esteem is you - so be a better version of yourself to make yourself proud!
